Beauty on TApp is a proudly woman-owned online beauty destination committed to providing high-quality skincare, haircare, and self-care products. Our mission is to make exceptional beauty brands accessible to everyone, celebrating diversity and catering to a wide range of beauty needs.

Our Journey

Founded in 2015, Beauty on TApp began as a mobile application connecting users with local beauty service providers, including makeup artists, hair stylists, and skincare professionals. The app also featured a directory of niche beauty brands, helping users discover unique products tailored to their preferences.

Recognizing the challenges in monetizing this model, we implemented a strategic pivot to launch our cosmetics e-tailing platform. Initially offering the same beloved brands from our app directory, we have since expanded our offerings to include a diverse range of products, ensuring our customers have access to high-quality beauty solutions. In 2021 we noted a gap in the market for certain products and decided to invest in brand and product development, which has also led to a fully fledged in house brand development team.

Pastry Skincare: Our in-house brand, Pastry Skincare, was developed in response to our community’s requests for effective body care solutions. Locally formulated and manufactured, Pastry Skincare products are backed by science and cater to various skin concerns, offering both fragranced and fragrance-free options.
Mzuri Skincare: We feature Mzuri Skincare, a brand dedicated to empowering individuals to feel confident in their skin. Their product range addresses various skin concerns, promoting healthy and radiant skin.
B’air Skincare: B’air Skincare offers a range of affordable, science-backed products formulated to address concerns such as hyperpigmentation, acne, and dryness, all designed to promote healthy, glowing skin.
Formē Haircare: As a hair care range focused primarily on scalp care, Formē fuses popular skincare active ingredients and natural ingredients in scalp wash care and daily care products. The ethos behind Formē is that a healthy scalp will essentially promote healthy hair growth.

Despite having our own in-house local delivery service that offers delivery in less than 24 hours, we’ve partnered with reputable courier services, including The Courier Guy, to ensure your orders reach you promptly. The Courier Guy offers a range of delivery options, such as same-day express, overnight, and economy shipping, providing flexibility to meet your needs. Their extensive network across South Africa ensures reliable door-to-door service, whether you’re in a bustling city or a remote area.

In-store services

Our business is premised on leveraging technology to provide better solutions to our community. Our brick and mortar stores have a skin analysis offering, conducted by our in-house aestheticians. A skin analysis machine that deeply analyses the skin better guides our in-store team to curate well suited routines for our customers, helping them see faster results.
